What’s better than a catwalk? Some cute cats walk, and there was more than enough of that at the annual Algonquin Cat Fashion Show. There’s a major cuteness overload at the classic Oakwood room with half a dozen or so felines luxuriating on the tables. This years theme, “A Feline Salute to NYC’s First Responders”, brought out the best in these already celebrated felines. People witnessed a motley of interesting cosplays by the cats; the outfits worn included a nurse, a pair of doctors, a fireman, a FEMA worker, and even a dogcatcher which I personally think is the cutest. A whole lot of credit for this visual spectacular should go to Ada Nieves, who is the pet costume designer responsible for the cute felines.
If you think it’s all about the cats, you’re right! It is all about the cats but the humans at the Algonquin Cat Show had a gala time too with free-flowing drinks, sumptuous food and lots of c(h)ats.
