Rumour mill has started running since the launch of the new iPhone 6S! While we finally know all about the 6S, people have already started predicting about the iPhone 7′ expected in Fall 2016. This big new upgrade to the iPhone 7 would call for a new frame and casing material, and according to one of the postings on Weibo, Apple is in fact planning on adopting an entirely new material next year for the iPhone 7, which would not only make the upcoming iPhone sturdy, but waterproof too! The redesigned phone will feature a new material, according to a report based on posts on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter — it may be made of the super-strong LiquidMetal that Apple is known to have taken an interest in. It will also be able to withstand dust and water, according to the posts which claimed to be based on early prototypes of the phone.
If this turns out to be the case, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus would be the last in the iPhone line to include a metallic casing for the smartphone.
