Bring Jellyfishes home in a Darwin Tank

Keeping regular fishtanks with goldfishes at home is as passé as the name Goldie for your goldfish. Things are changing and so are the fishtanks; why even the choice of fish you keep in them are getting better than before. Thanks to Florence Samain and Dave Monfort of the Belgium-based The Darwin Sect, a fishtank containing jellyfish can be brought home. The tank is called Darwin tank and it bears resemblance to a glass bell jar. It may look like a regular cylindrical glass jar to you but its a lot more than being that simple. The duo was able to create an effective system called the StreamMaker to make this aquarium work both for the fish and for us who love to have a little part of the aquatic world at our humble abodes and jellyfishes are without doubt one of the prettiest elements.

the StreamMaker is strong enough to push the little jellies along, but does not run the risk of sucking them into the filter. Thanks to the fluid design, it’s easy to turn the device over to open it, if needed. The Darwin tank can be home to a variety of fishes but that kind of beauty will set you back about $1500.
