Dejected doggies series captured in cars

Leaving toddlers behind in cars to head to the supermarket has been written about a lot. It lead to heatstrokes which is a cause of rising number of deaths. Now imagine leaving a dog behind albeit for a different reason, a photo series that captures the sadness and loneliness of otherwise happy and energetic dogs. Pet owners and lovers will love what photographer Martin Usborne has created. This wonderfully sad series about canines and their sad milieu of loneliness, wait is so well captured it does wrench your heart to see a dog that looks like it’s trapped forever.
The photographer says, “When I started this project I knew the photos would be dark. What I didn’t expect was to see so many subtle reactions by the dogs: some sad, some expectant, some angry, some dejected. It was as if upon opening up a box of grey-coloured pencils I was surprised to see so many shades inside”. The series of sad doggie photographs has been featured in Burn magazine.
