Say goodbye to your boring wearable tracker, as Fitbit has launched a wearable, that you would love to wear. Alta is a slender activity tracker with interchangeable band that hugs the wrist like a piece of jewelry. The device has the same features of previous models, except Alta has the ability to record and recognise your workout without ever pushing a button. The attractive, versatile design of this new fitness tracker fits seamlessly into daily life – from the gym to the office to a night out.’Alta provides the same tools other trackers in its class do, including sleep tracking, providing weekly exercise goals and reminders to move if you have been stationary for too long. While it doesn’t have a heart-rate monitor like on the Charge HR, the Alta does feature a large OLED screen that’s capable of showing select notifications from your smartphone. You can view incoming calls, text messages and calendar alerts.
Fitbit Alt is available for pre-sale on the Fitbit website for $139. It can be purchased on Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and other sports retailers. The trackers will ship sometime in March.
