Jean Paul Gaultier brings Popeye and Betty Boop back and smelling good

I’m loving the new revamped classics from the house of Jean Paul Gaultier. The much loved classics of the house, Le Male and Classique, are presented with the new video and print campaign shot by Miles Aldridge, featuring models Daphne Groeneveld and Chris Bunn. Guess what does this new campaign take its inspiration from? Our very own Popeye, the sailor man adorns the Le Male Eau Fraiche edition, while the face of Classic Eau Fraiche is Betty Boop. Love the bottle wherein Betty Boop looks full of oomph as a cabaret dancer in her lustful mettle.

The composition of this classic eau Fraiche opens with lemon sorbet, ginger and sugar cane juice. Its floral heart includes exotic tiara, jasmine and orange blossom. Le Male Eau Fraiche limited edition Popeye on the other hand is full of mixed clean and fresh notes with the base made of sweet vanilla. A fragrance perfect for a strong, charming man, much like Popeye himself. Popeye is shown in the classic striped Gaultier tee-shirt. Bottles are Available as 100ml and 125 ml respectively.
