With advancing times, and changing scenarios it’s good to see toy brands as big as Lego adopt the change as well. First it was their disabled figurine; and now they are again setting new standards by introducing stay-at-home figurine along with a professionally dressed mom. Kids these days need approvals and validation, some of them don’t come from conventional family setups and that may or may not cause a complex in the child. This is a sensitive and open-minded step from Lego to promote a healthy family image no matter who wears the pants in the house. What’s more important is there love and harmony in the family. The new figurines are part of LEGO’s plan to ‘mirror the world we live in today’. Statistics show there are more than 2 million stay-at-home dads in the U.S and hence seemed like a wise decision to diversify their minifigures to include this growing population.
The fun at the park set includes an infant baby being strolled around by his bearded stay-at-home dad in the company of his mother who looks like a professional and the bread earner of the family.
