Nissan prefers a car-loving world. Car enthusiasts may think there isn’t a soul in this world that wouldn’t love or be interested in cars. I beg to differ as I too belong to a specie that has a serious lack of interests in cars. Nissan is adamant to bring about a change and it is doing so with the Teatro for Dayz concept debuting at this month’s Tokyo Motor Show. This concept is going to change the way we look and operate cars; first they tossed out knobs and buttons out. The amazing thing is, the knobs and buttons are replaced with clear-white surface for displaying photos, showing movies and playing games too. Not just that, the instrument panel, seats and door trim can function as displays along with LED screens on the car’s exterior. An on-board camera allows for taking and sharing selfies which I think will be the USP of this car that’s going to be a favourite of a selfie-obsessed generation.
Too bad this is only a concept and not for sale as it also features voice controls and motion sensors for operating the air conditioning and audio system. If this interests you, Nissan will also show its Gripz hybrid crossover concept and an upgraded Leaf electric car at the Tokya Motor Show on Oct30.
