Well, we all know that when life gives you lemons, make lemonade! However, at times we are so stressed, that all we need is some peace to get on with our lives! While some of us take up Yoga or Tai chi for their mental health, here is an app that will help you de-stress in a simple way! Ustwo, the design studio behind has a new app called Pause that uses basic meditation principles to reduce mental stress and make you feel more relaxed.
What this means in practice is encouraging them to put their finger on the screen to touch a small, amorphous blob, and move it around very gently. As the user moves their finger they are schooled to slow down , or keep going. As they move the undulating blob it swells in size, satisfyingly so, until if you’re patient enough it grows large enough to fill the screen. At which point the app suggests you might want to close your eyes, and hopefully experience that elusive moment of calm.
So rather than spending time on Snapchat or Instagram, you can Pause for a while, to relax and unwind. Certain meditation techniques have been scientifically proven to work, and trying this one is just a $2 download in the App Store.
