LG’s ball-shaped Surveillance robot looks like R2-D2’s distant cousin

LG is surprising the world, in a good way! They are releasing a phone yes, but this isn’t about that; this is about their robot! You read that right, LG’s very own ball-shaped, home-monitoring robot that you control with your phone and use it to amuse your pets, control home appliances and see what’s happening in your house. That’s way better than most other robots that are equipped to only do one task and are bigger and more complex. The rolling bot on the other hand needs only wifi to connect and it’s microphone speaker, an 8-megapixel camera and a laser pointer take care of the rest.

When away from home and worried about an open door or cupboards then this becomes a lot more useful than meets the eye. It can get you peace of mind when a worrying switch bothers your nights sleep. It can also help to keep your pets busy and entertained when you’re at work. LG’s rolling bot was launched at mobile world congress.
