Returning to the Saatchi Gallery in London this autumn will be French fashion house Chanel with its current creative director, Karl Lagerfeld for a brand new exhibition called Mademoiselle Privé. For three weeks in Octobers, Chanel’s history with Haute Couture will go on display across the gallery’s three floors, bringing to life the spirit and designs of the two legendary fashion icons.
The show will offer an journey through Chanel with the story of the iconic Chanel No5 as well as the newly reissued ‘Bijoux de Diamants’ jewelry collection, the first and only fine jewelry collection designed by Coco Chanel herself in 1932.
Chanel’s previous shows at the Saatchi Gallery include photography exhibitions, namely Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld’s The Little Black Jacket in 2012 and Sam Taylor Johnson’s Second Floor: The Private Apartment of Mademoiselle Chanel in 2014.
Mademoiselle Privé will run from October 13 – November 1, 2015. Admission is free and visitors can make use of the companion app which will be available to guide them around the exhibition.
